Are you looking for a new career? Uinta Eye and Vision is accepting applications for a new team member, with the opportunity to become a nationally certified paraoptometric.
Uinta Eye and Vision is finishing its fourth year of business in Evanston. In the 2024 and 2025 Best of Uinta County competitions, Uinta Eye and Vision was voted Best Eye Clinic and Dr. Cluny won Best Optometrist. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, individual to join our team as we strive to continue to provide this level of care to the community!
The role of this new team member will be custom fit, depending upon experience and interest. The two primary directions this team member can choose to focus on will consist of either ocular health and visual acuity correction or insurance specialization and front desk management. All team members receive cross-training to help patients the best way possible, so there will also be exposure to eyeglass selection, lens options, and contact lens education and training.
An understanding of the difference between emergency, urgent, and routine visits will be taught to ensure proper workflow and patient care. Knowing who patients are, greeting them, and helping them to understand what the process will be for their visit, including the purpose of testing during their appointment is essential.
A candidate who is interested in learning about ocular health and visual acuity would be able to receive training, first to become a certfied paraoptometric (CPO), followed by becoming a certified paraoptometric technician (CPOT).
Candidates who have experience working with insurances, or are interested in learning about this process, can also receive training to become certified in this area, in addition to becoming a certified paraoptometric (CPO).
Base wage is dependent on education and previous work experience.
